When is Evastine Solution prescribed for?
Evastine is prescribed for the Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, Allergic conjunctivitis, insect bites and chronic idiopathic urticaria.

How should you take Evastine Solution?
Evastine should be taken for:

  • Children between 2 and 5 years: 2.5 ml once daily (up to 5 ml in severe cases such as perennial allergic rhinitis)
  • Children between 6 and 11 years: 5 ml ( one teaspoonful) once daily (up to 10 ml in severe cases such as perennial allergic rhinitis )
  • Adults and older children more than 11 years:- 1 tablet (10 mg) or 10 ml (two teaspoonful) once daily

When you should not take Evastine Solution?
• Hypersensitivity to either the active ingredient or any other excipients.

Special warning and precautions on using Evastine Solution: 
As with other anti-histamines it is advisable to exercise caution when using Ebastine.

Possible Drug interaction with Evastine Solution:
Combinations with Ketonazole and Macrolide antibiotics are not recommended

Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • The safety of ebastine during pregnancy has not established. Therefore, Evastine is not recommended during pregnancy.
  • Ebastine Solution is not recommended for nursing women, because it is not known whether ebastine is excreted in human milk

Possible Side Effects with Evastine Solution

• Headaches, drowsiness and dry mouth
• rarely abdominal pains, dyspepsia, nausea and insomnia have been reported
