When is Infex® Tablet prescribed for?
- can be prescribed in the treatment of Hepatitis C as a monotherapy or in combination with interferon with or without ribavirin.
- can be prescribed also for the prophylaxis and treatment of signs and symptoms of infection caused by various strains of influenza A virus.
How should you take Infex® Tablet?
- In Hepatitis C: One tablet twice daily
- In the treatment of influenza: one tablet twice daily.
- For the prophylaxis of influenza: one tablet daily.
When you should not take Infex® Tablet?
- Closed-angle glaucoma.
- Myasthenia gravis.
- Pregnancy and lactation.
- Severe hepatic insufficiency.
- Severe renal insufficiency.
- Hypersensitivity to Amantadine Sulphate
Possible drug interactions when taking Infex® Tablet:
Anticholinergics can potentiate the action of Amantadine Sulphate
Possible Side effects with Infex® Tablet:
- In some cases:
- Pruritis, leukocytosis and dysphagia may occur.
