Active Ingredient: Amantadine Sulphate 

When is Infex® Tablet prescribed for?

  •  can be prescribed in the treatment of Hepatitis C as a monotherapy or in combination with interferon with or without ribavirin.
  •  can be prescribed also for the prophylaxis and treatment of signs and symptoms of infection caused by various strains of influenza A virus.

How should you take Infex® Tablet?

  • In Hepatitis C: One tablet twice daily
  • In the treatment of influenza: one tablet twice daily. 
  • For the prophylaxis of influenza: one tablet daily.

When you should not take  Infex® Tablet?

  • Closed-angle glaucoma.
  • Myasthenia gravis.
  • Pregnancy and lactation.
  • Severe hepatic insufficiency.
  • Severe renal insufficiency.
  • Hypersensitivity to Amantadine Sulphate

Possible drug interactions when taking Infex® Tablet:
Anticholinergics can potentiate the action of Amantadine Sulphate

Possible Side effects with Infex® Tablet:

  • In some cases:
  • Pruritis, leukocytosis and dysphagia may occur.

Infex tablet should not be used during pregnancy or lactation or breastfeeding

Store below 25°C and protect from light.
