When is Marvit syrup prescribed for?

  • Supply the infant body with the vitamins & minerals which are essential for growth & development.
  • Treat patients with iron deficiency anaemia.
  • Increase child physical & mental performance.
  • Protect against many diseases such as anaemia, rickets, night blindness & other diseases caused by vitamins deficiency.
  • Very important for malnourished infants or for infants during convalescence period.

How should you take Marvit syrup?

  • From age 6 months to 2 years: 2.5ml/day
  • Above 2 years: 5ml/day

When you should not take Marvit syrup?

Hypersensitivity to any ingredients

Special warning and precautions on using Marvit syrup:      
Do not take high dose to avoid toxic effect specially vitamin A & vitamin D.

 Possible Drug interaction with Marvit syrup:

  • The presence of neomycin reduces the absorption of vitamin A.
  • Vitamin B6 reduces the effect of levodopa.
  • The effects of Vitamin D may be reduced in patient taking barbiturates, or anticonvulsants

Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Possible Side effects with Marvit syrup:.

  • GIT disturbances (nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea).
  • Excessive intake may impart a greenish colour to urine due to excessive intake of vitamin B complex.
